I'm not understanding why anything should have to go to text only as long as everyone goes back to saving their pics off site instead of loading them into a gallery.    I suspect that may have been part of why we exceeded the bandwidth.   
Instead of putting all the pressure on Mirth to do the work...why don't you guys salvage what you want out of the archives and  repost it on here.  Then have Mirth set up a board that's a  clean slate that you can move it back over to.   Yes that's a LOT of work, but it ensures that only the stuff you really want gets saved.    That and it wouldn't hurt some of you to  regularly back up your stuff here in case something like this happens again.    I know I wish I had done more of  that before the first crash because my custom thread was lost and I never did get around to rebuilding it on the new Doosh.

WTF?  This was very hurtful.  The Mess was mentioned as being involved, somehow, in getting us back up and running and until your last post, here, I had no idea on what was going on.

Look, whatever is done in the future needs to be fair. If I get this right, Mirth (and Layers) were hosting us on their servers at work to save us money. On top of that, they have been maintaining the site for us this whole time --- WHICH IS NO SMALL AMOUNT OF WORK. This was done on their OWN TIME on top of their everyday lives. 

All I am saying is GIVE THEM A BREAK. There would be NO DOOSH without them.

like my green lantern custom con thread, I'm not sure how i phrased it. plus I changed the title a couple of times.

Kidd might of his, but I guess he's decided to haul ass. unfortunate.

as to the people who are like "you should have backed this up yourself", well I'm not really sure how to do that.

how exactly should a custom thread be backed up? with comments from everyone? I have all my photos on photobucket so that's not a problem?

anyway, can we stop with the finger pointing and the blaming? I'm not blaming Mirth. or anybody, everybody keeps ignoring my request on what to do now?

if I've been out of line here, I just don't see it. I've been reasonable, given multiple suggestions on what to do next. tried to calm others down.

Hey Mirth, I can't find my custom thread, my What's on your Table thread (both from the Custom section) or my Trade list from the Trading Trolls Cave of Deals. If there be anything you can do (On top of what you've already done  ) I would greatly appreciate it. I f not, no sweat, I'll just start over. Just throwing that out there. BTW...said it before but you guys are the shit!!!

  Thanks for everything that you guys have done.  It's amazing how much work you've put into it and I understand the frustration you are feeling right now.  This isn't your job or your livliehood, and we all need to remember that.  I have to say that I had no idea that you guys were doing all of the hosting for the site.  I , for one, will contribute what I can to help out.  I'll also bow to whatever you decide on the future of our band of merry men(and women) that have assembled here.  I hope that the DOOSH does continue, as I enjoy checking in with my on-line buddies almost daily. I will not miss most of the old threads, simply because of the broken links and posts by people who had moved on before I arrived.  Those who are around will help to rebuild...we have the technology(sorry 6 million dollar man reference).

 Some will choose to move on to what they perceive as greener pastures.  One thing about new pastures though...sooner or later they'll run into cow paddies.

Thanks again to you and the crew who have kept things going.

I understand about wanting everything to work as a matter of personal pride.  Trust me, I get it.  But from what I understand, you guys were basically trying to plug holes in a dam with paper gauze.  With all of the stuff which was getting added we were gonna exceed something sooner or later.  We had two sites going at once(The old and New), threw in an arcade, and a gallery...that's a lot of info. to process. 

  It'll work as I (and most others) have the utmost confidence in you guys.  People just need to be patient and realize that anything that is restored should be considered a victory.

Hey guys , with the Doosh being what it is right now , plus the fact that I 'm on vacation back east for 2 weeks, I won't be around much.....

I also don't know if it's the site or not , but it takes me almost 5 minutes to get to a page , if it comes up at all , which is why I'm posting this here...
